It is with great enthusiasm that Canada's own Norco Bicycles welcomes a new talent to its award-winning product development team. Industrial designer Terry Brown joins an already rock solid crew, and his addition reflects Norco's ongoing commitment to excellence in all areas of product development.
Terry holds a degree in Industrial Design from Ottawa's Carleton University and has over eight years of professional experience in both corporate and consultancy roles. He has participated in a variety of projects, ranging from industrial applications such as HEV battery solutions and power inverters, to consumer goods like folding kayaks, electronic accessories and skateboard helmets. His interest in design is coupled with a desire to build and create, as evidenced in both his work and extracurricular endeavours. Like his partners on the product development team, Terry is an avid cyclist who participates in both on- and off-road adventures as frequently as possible. He brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and experience, a desire to push the limits of innovation and the same passion for cycling that is shared by everyone at Norco Bicycles.
Norco's expanding product development team is the driving force behind the bicycle designs that have earned recognition from riders and awards from media around the globe. Terry joins the team responsible for the 2012 Norco Sight, which won the prestigious Trail Bike of the Year award from the U.K.'s What Mountain Bike magazine. Recent Norco innovations such as Gravity Tune, Advanced Ride Technology and Applied Road Compliance underscore Norco Bicycles' ultimate goal: to create the very best bicycles possible for their intended environments - on the road and in the mountains.
Norco's well-established approach to leadership in engineering and design manifests from the company's commitment to listen, innovate and ride. "Norco is focused on innovation, and that means developing leading-edge proprietary products," adds Dave Overgaard, VP of Norco's Bike Division. "Terry's energy and expertise will enable us to pursue our goals even more aggressively, so we're all thrilled to have him on the team."
Welcome aboard, Terry. We look forward to riding your designs!
