Boardman Sets New Record

Chris Boardman has broken Eddy Merckx's World Hour Record in Manchester, England. Merckx's record of 49.431 kilometres was set in Mexico City on October 25, 1972. Boardman covered 49.444 kilometres a short time ago. The record was set under the 'new', revised technical bicycle requirements set by the UCI.
