Isaac Del Toro (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) confirmed himself to be one of the riders to watch on the coming stages of the UAE Tour by winning the first stage ahead of the entire peloton.
Del Toro got the better of Cees Bol (Decathlon-CMA CGM Team) in a sprint fought all the way to the final metre, with Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain-Victorious) rounding out the first podium.
Top Canadian on the stage was Riley Pickrell (Modern Adventure Pro Cycling) in 7th at the same time as the winner.
