Wolverine 200 - 24 Hour Bicycle Marathon

May 14th, 15th, 16th

Belle Isle Park, Detroit, Michigan

The Wolverine 200 began 44 years ago as a physical fitness challenge for members of the Wolverine Sports Club to ride 200 miles in 24 hours. The course covers the entire east end of Belle Isle and is nearly all one-way with no auto traffic. An occasional river breeze, smooth asphalt pavement, plenty of protection from the wind and an ever-changing view, from wooded landscape to river and back again, make for a perfect cycling course. This is the only time camping is allowed on Belle Isle.

Goals
The Wolverine 200 is divided into goals of 25 miles in 2 hours, 50 miles in 5 hours, 75 miles in 7 hours, 100 miles in 10 hours, and 200 miles in 24 hours. Your ultimate accomplishment is riding as far as fast as you wish to achieve your personal goal. You will be on the honor system for keeping track of completed miles. Check in at the headquarters tent after completing 25, 50, 75,100 and 200 miles. You will receive a patch at final check-in recognizing the goal you were able to reach.
