Do you know that on MAY 24th, 1878 - CA Parker (Harvard) won the 1st American bike race, in Beacon Park, Boston.

The team of Gilbert Bilodeau, Pat Ferris, Stephen Ferris and Mike Hientzman won the Ferris Fast Cycles Team Time Trial, Sunday, in record time in front of a record turnout. They turned in a 1:01:32 hours for the 40 km distance, 1:18 minutes faster than the previous record time of 1:03:00 set in 2002.
The team of Dan, Jon, Naomi(of Edmonton) and Richard Wood were second with a 1:03:21. The team of Tessa Bilodeau, Kevin Sparling, Tim Gladysz and David Ferris were third at 1:09:06. The team of Richard & Tammy Howes, Derek Waldron and Eric Snucins were 4th at 1:09:45, Ken Nix, Jean Guillemette, Adam Currie and Marg Evens had 1:15:26 for 5th and Jack & Trisha Gladysz, Steve Sparling and Dean Lowry did 1:19:34 for 6th.
Monday - Poker relay Fun Ride at Baldonnel School at 2 pm.
Thursday - Baldonnel Time Trial
Sunday - Beatton Park mountain bike race 10:00 am (also serves as Zone 8 Summer Games Selection mountain bike race)
Sunday - Challenge Cup Road race 60 km 2:00 pm from Montney Store. (also serves as Zone 8 Summer Games Selection for road race )
Change of venue for Festival de Velo

The Waterloo Cycling Club has changed its venue for Festival De Velo, planned for July 25th. It's the same day, but, in a different place. Due to scheduling difficulties, the event has been moved to City Hall, Kitchener.
The start/finish will be on King Street and the course will be a 1+ km criterium. Look to the OCA racing calendar and waterloocyclingclub.org for more details as they become available.
