Tour History for July 19th

1903 - Maurice Garin wins the FIRST Tour de France. 2428 km in 6 stages. 60 cyclists started the Tour but only 21 finished. Garin won 3 of the 6 stages.

1919 - Creation of the Yellow Jersey for the Tour de France.
