Stage 4: Scuol to Naturns, 118.55 km (3,366 metres)

The former leaders Bart Brentjens and Gerben de Knegt (T-Mobile / Rings), were behind. Bresser tried to reduce the distance between them to the leaders on the final downhill but de Knegt crashed and broke his leg.
