August 10/04 8:52 am - Tour de la Guadeloupe: Stage 3, SpeedSeries Road Learn-to-Race Clinic

Posted by Editoress on 08/10/04

Tour de la Guadeloupe Guadeloupe,

Brief report from Josee Robitaille

Martin was involved in a crash with about 500 metres to go. There are few details but it seems that a rider in front of him crashed while sprinting.

Martin hopped over the guy's head and then ended up hitting a metal sign on the side of the road. Major damage was a broken helmet and front wheel, and he has some neck pain, but it seems that he's ok.

He holds onto the yellow jersey. We will see how it goes tomorrow (Tuesday) as they are start the mountain stages
