Bayside Cyclocross #2 Vancouver BC

The second Bayside Cyclocross Race, held on Oct. 16th, was for the hardcore cyclocross purists! Hard rain and mud greeted the riders on the fast and slippery course. Nevertheless the race saw record attendance with 70 racers suiting up for the event.

The Men B stayed mostly grouped together during the early laps of the race until the leaders pulled away around the halfway point. In the Women's race, Stacey Spencer fought back from a first lap crash to capture her second Crescent Park victory. MTB pro Ricky Federeau and road pro Andrew Pinfold dueled for the lead in the early laps of the Men A race until Federeau conceded the win due to a mechanical problem.
