Dave Taylor, Director of Independent Bicycle Retail (IBD) Sales and Marketing for Raleigh Canada, today announced a new sales support leadership team to support the company’s new IBD focus.

Five individuals comprise the Raleigh Canada IBD team, all of whom have core cycling market experience and share a passion for all mediums of cycling. The team is working together to launch the new Raleigh Canada and Lapierre Bicycles partnership proposition to the Canadian IBD network, effective immediately.

"We've built what we believe to be Canada's most dedicated and experienced team of specialty-focused bicycle sales leaders and support professionals within Raleigh Canada to catalyze the launch the Raleigh and Lapierre bicycle partnership opportunity," said Dave Taylor. "When you consider the experience of our new team with the Raleigh and Lapierre product collections, the opportunity for Canadian IBDs becomes clear."

Raleigh's collection of best in class urban, event rider and family bicycles are highly complementary to Lapierre's performance-driven mountain bike and road bike products. Together, the two brands offer a strong, multi-brand assortment for Canadian IBDs.

Taylor, who was hired April 1st as Raleigh Canada's IBD Sales and Marketing Director, leads Raleigh Canada, which includes Lapierre’s Canadian sales and marketing efforts. Taylor is spearheading the development of an IBD-specific sales and support approach into the new direction of Raleigh Canada. This approach directed the hires Taylor completed to form his new team.

Rodney Merchant is a new hire who serves Raleigh Canada as Manager of Canadian Sales Operations. Merchant most recently worked as the Sales Team Leader for Cervelo Cycles, where he worked with Taylor, and has over 15 years of bike market experience. Merchant will be working from Raleigh and Lapierre Canada's Oakville, Ontario location.

James Stefanuk has been promoted to Sales and Marketing lead within Raleigh Canada, after working with Raleigh Canada in various roles for the past three years. Stefanuk will lead events, promotions, dealer material and marketing support in addition to becoming Lapierre’s Canadian product specialist.

Rounding out the Raleigh Canada team, Jeff McCachren and Patrick Jordan will join the Inside Sales Team and Brad Mackenzie joins as territory manager for Ontario, beginning July 18th.
